EGGS!

I love Easter! My family growing up used to color eggs and my parents: aka easter bunny would hide them around our house. They would always hide them in the most clever places! And as tradition...always one in all of our shoes. My mom would always buy interesting things for us to use to dye our eggs. Even though we are all quote on quote grown up now we still love to color the eggs! this year my mom bought an egg color kit that made golden eggs! there was also one that made the eggs look like this... Pretty sweet! That big purple one is one that my dad mixed 1/8th a cup of all the colors...couldn't believe how pretty it was!

Look how pretty! We always have to take some eggs over to my grandmas for our egg hunt... you never are too old for one of those :) this year we weren't able to do it because of all the snow... grrr. im sick of all the snow! Come on its spring!
This is one of the eggs that is the golden egg mix.  its funny how all of the eggs on the box never look the same when you do them... ours turned out so much cooler tho!
My clever daddy made these eggs. He boils onion skins and they turn the eggs this pretty golden color!
We like to draw on the eggs with permanent marker... my brother Marcus is super creative!
So my parents are so cute! We joked around about when they met... seriously so funny! If you ever want to have some funny conversations ask your parents about when they were dating! So funny... Anywho so when they were first dating they started calling each other honey stu (dad) and honey stew (mom). Since I can remember they always write on the eggs... so here is the one from this year! i thought this was a clever shot... haha love it!
And I cant forget it was Steve and my first Easter this year together so well cheesy or not here it is...
Happy Easter Everyone!

little love story for ya

So I thought since we have been married for over THREE MONTHS now that I would just post a time line of sorts of some funny things that occurred while dating... some of them are pretty good.

I just love this picture..

This car, the famous gold grand prix, Steve drove this thing the night that we met.. So our first date.. Steve picks me up. we went to a haunted house, which can be weird.. you know everyone is all cuddly and clingy, could be weird on a first date. totally wasn't. So on the drive home, cruising down the highway in the grand prix Steve pops in his Enrique Iglesias CD. Pretty much just cause its the only CD he had that we both had all the songs memorized.. anywho we rolled down the windows and sang our hearts out to those classic songs.. my favorite was that Steve could hit those supper intense notes in the song that are near impossible. He is so tight.
Meeting the Fam... You might be thinking.. these pictures are really weird.. and yes they are. let me explain.. so when Steve met my extended family it was at our annual Halloween celebration.. tons of family, we all dress up and eat pie! Not really sure what either of us were thinking but we both are just weird.. Steve loves his bowling cheetah shirt tho.. wears it every time we go bowling... So i may just be bias but when i met Steves mom... it was worse then this...

Yup told ya... worse.. so let me explain... it will take a little bit of background info to understand how it all went down.. in high school i swam on swim team.. somehow nicknames were created.. medusa became medu which became duey.. too long of a story to share.. my closest friends still call me that to this day.. kind of funny. anyway so my dear friend heather introduced me to Steve as Duey.. a couple weeks later he asked me what my real name was.. i had to laugh at that. I have people who think that Duey is my given birth name.. haha wow sorry to drag on.. so Steve so sweetly introduces me to his mother as Duey.. i wish i could have freeze framed her face as she unloaded groceries, hearing that her son is dating this girl with the name Duey.. it was classic.. so anyway Steve and I would go take pictures for my photo assignments and we got a little carried away in a field of mud... came back to his house and asked his mom to take a picture of us... Im pretty sure his mom made him hose off outside before going inside the house.

So we Graduated from Alta High School on 06/06/06 which i think is just cool. There were people all up in arms about devil worshiping and bad luck.. I just thought it was sweet.. my dad has always been fascinated with numbers and i am my daddy's girl i always find myself looking for number patterns or weird number things.. like when your speedometer turns over to 123456 or something.. its just cool call me crazy if you must, anyway back to the 666 thing.. we all turned out fine and we can all say we graduated on a cool day. Yay for being done with high school!

So then we both decided to become Aggies! And yes true and Ultimate as well.. i wont post those photos for those of you who have ears to hear... you'd really thank me if you knew.. google it. you'll laugh. Ill just post this pic of us at the Aggie basketball game! they are seriously some of the most fun games you will ever go to! if you haven't get yourself some tickets my friends.

October 5 rolled around fast and Steve an I had been dating for a year! We were trying to think of somethin fun to do. Steve pulled out a steak knife from the kitchen... we drove to old main and carved our initials in a tree. One of the funniest things it was pretty hard with that cheap Wal Mart knife.. but Steve did an excellent job if i do say so myself and its still there! we went
back this October! its been over 4 years now!

So then Steve moved home and got ready to go on a mission. He got called to Milwaukee Wisconsin.  So he left and was off to become a cheese head.. Yep that's two years ladies and gentlemen.

I had a good time here in Logan trying to get through all the school.. I did take a trip to Switzerland tho.. it was so wonderful!

So Steve returned from his mission and we started dating again :) it didn't take very long... we just knew that we wanted to spend our eternities together.. haha so cheesey.. but so true... So we got engaged. Steve took me up to the temple grounds and played me the song he wrote me high school... he added more onto the end with the engagement part. hes so cute! It was perfect!

So it all went down.. the Mawaige. December 18, 2009

So that's how it all went down folks.

So the past couple of weeks have had some interesting and very entertaining events... where to even begin... lets see..

Vacuum Tragedy 1010

so I decide to be a good wifey and vacuum the apartment... too bad im a fool and wear my cute scarf from Europe to do so... Vacuum + cute scarf =

Yep your eyes are not fooling you...
I lean over to move the cord and yup sucks my scarf, whilst choking me into the motor. So i'm screaming and steve is on the couch... reading... minding his own business. Finally he notices catches on to my unfortunate circumstances and walks over... so then I sat there and pretended to help Steve unscrew all sorts of screws in the vacuum in order to get the scarf out... and finally after taking the whole thing apart... success! Surprisingly there was minimal damage to my lovely sentimental scarf :) If you don't know by now I am one of the most clumsy people you will ever know... i attribute this beautiful trait to my father, the master of clumsy happenings. I love you Dad. My life would be so boring without the humor of these happenings.

We can build anything... with a little time.. and a wet bottom

So next on the list we begin our handy dandy process of building our new dresser. Ikea style. So when we open it up I thought to myself... ok wow they say these things are easy to put together but gee look at all this hardware... so as i sit to assess how long i think this is going to take us i manage to tip over Steve's water and sit in it... totally soaked through my pants... Keep in mind this is the same day as the vacuum incident, and not the only stupid situation i have managed to get myself into. Anywho so after several hours... or what felt like it, we finally finished!

The infamous 50 Chicken Mcnugs

So story number three. Chicken Mcnuggets. So on a typical Thursday night we are watching some tele and we see this commercial advertising a load of 50 chicken mcnuggets for 9.99 every weekend of February. Wow what a steal we are both thinking... so Friday night date night. Fifty "chicken mcnugs" as Steve so proudly told the woman at mcdonalds drive-thru. So this is so gross and don't judge me.. we ate all 50. and right now you;re thinking oh i bet Steve ate more then her... nope i'm pretty sure it was a pretty even split of 25.. so gross. Not the best idea we've ever had but a deal is a deal and what a sweet deal it was. Let me not forget our sweet diet DPs.

So after we ate this load we get a knock on the door. Our downstairs neighbors' guests couldn't make it to dinner so they invited us over for Kahlua pork.. we couldn't resist... we went. we conquered. with some caramel ice cream dessert. yum.

I'm happy to end this post with some Tucker funny moments
He is the cutest baby in the world. Steve and I love watching him every week... He is so funny.

Laughs at EVERYTHING and is so curious. Its so funny to watch him try to figure things out.

Another one of his favorite pastimes...is yup you got it... snoozing He has many sleeping positions that are hilarious.

1. Fisting his eye.. for some reason he just likes putting his fist over his eye... haha
2. Mr Frog here.. who knows i just thought it was funny sorry if this bores you.
3. My personal favorite...He fell asleep while sitting up. You know when your falling asleep and your head starts bobbing and you get startled awake? Its so much funnier when babies do it!
Anyway so this was pretty funny... just thought id add this: some toe jams... My whole life I don't know the meaning to that phrase... does this resemble anything remotely appetizing.. let alone jam? Just a thought

All Tuckered Out

Lucky us! We got to spend the day with our little bud. He is such a cutie! After going with us to pick up some prescriptions, poor tucker was zonked.

Though adorable, our homeboy continues to show us that we are NOT QUITE READY for a little homeboy of our own. Whew... I think I at least need a job first! heh
